Design Statement:
This story is about a young very intelligent boy who gets put in an award situation with a teacher that he clings to like a father. The teacher, Marshall, and the boy, Gin, see the world in a different way especially Gin. His mind races quickly and takes in a ton of information which sometimes causes chaos in his brain. That is what I wanted reflected in the scenic design, you are seeing two truly genius people get so wrapped up in their uncontrolled brains they don’t know how to have a healthy relationship with another human being, so they surrounded by their incredibly chaotic but beautifully smart thoughts and feelings.
