Design Statement:
The world of Assassins is a dark, broken and dead carnival that has been overgrown by nature. It is a direct reflection of how the design team feels about our current political climate. The deathly trees scatter the set sprouting from various places intwining itself with the architecture. There is a constant misty fog- mystery, shrouding and providing cover for characters to sneak about.
The industrial ferris wheel provides a sense of the cyclical nature to our society. The towering scale of the architecture dwarfs the actors, making them feel insignificant just like their characters in the show.
