Twelfth Night

Director: Jenny McKnight
Scenic Designer: Kiah Kayser
Lighting Designer: Jacquelyn Ryan Cox
Costume Designer: Pat Martin
University of Arkansas
Design Statement:
Twelfth Night takes place in the dynamic city of New Orleans. We see Orsino's court represented by the textured and lively world of the French Quarter, and Olivia's life represented in the calm, sheltered, and lacy Garden District.
Throughout the show, levels play a distinct role both in creating the authentic port city feel, and defining the social and economic class structure in the play.
All the while, something bigger looms like a storm. The show ebbs and flows as the characters change and the audience's emotions are tossed from loving someone, to hating them.
