Design Concept:
This show was about this cyclical nature of these two humans constantly on the same track day in and day out. We wanted to emphasize that with our “hugging” walls in a studio space that establishes a sense of warmth but also a suffocating threat. In our floor design we created multiple cyclical patterns for the actors to move up on and through. The blue atmosphere was to add to a place that has been lived in and worn, and was probably near an ocean. There was then a contrast between the cool colored walls and the warm and inviting doors along with all the warm color choices of chairs.
