In this fun under water world we wanted to create an interesting space for the kids to play in while also emphasizing the wonderful and colorful world under the sea. With lots of transitions and a low budget we tried to focus on specific things that could easily set up the environment.
Ursula’s lair was represented with her throne inside an anglerfish’s mouth. The underwater castle had an arch. When Ariel and Eric were on their date they were dangling there feet off the dock with the chorus holding and singing with large lily pads. To tie it all together we used a similar color pallet in all of the rocks and then also had colorful hanging seaweed throughout the space.
